Its been a long time since i last blogged so i guess i will concentrate alot of stuff on this blog alone. this "lifesaving love.com" blog.However as for the other two its like me being sidetracked and trying to be someone i'm not.Haah the "simple direct specific " was made because i liked readinf John C. maxwells' book so much i thought i could be a leader.well do i have the gift in the frist place?i only know i can connect with pple very well.At the same time i think i should be more decisive when it comes to stuff.By the way why did i say this was because i want to address this issue of pressuring people to come to cell groups.

Firstly i understand cell leaders and their respective helpers care for each member's spiritual coverage.However one must learn to be considerate and understanding.the story went when one day after a family outing i was a deat beat cos we were doing this "expedition" at bukit timah hill...so i came back dirty ans sweaty and needed to sleep.However there was a cell group goin on so i wnated to rest.Each time my phone rang i got nervous.Cos i knew wats gonna happen.Someone would call and tell me loads of stuff on why i should go to cell groups.Yes its for my benefit but please be understanding when u genuinely are.U can talk to a person and say "i comprehend,i understand", when in the first place u dont.Its like asking a mother whose child was a victim of cholera who has scores of hope to be cured to sympathise with a mother whose child died in a car accident.Ok why am i talking about death???? lets ut it another way.Get a rock guitarist to talk to a banking and finance officer.Half the time both parties have no idea wats each other talking about.

Anyway,Its true that when one of the members called and told me to come to cell group either way,i hesitated and couldnt find a stand to say yes or no.so most of the time i kept silent.It must have irritated the person so the phone was passed to the cell leader.And then i got loads of stuff that told me off saying i pay lip service to God only.And i guessed its my indecisiveness that made my cell leader say such shockingly rough words.Must have irritated him so i guess it my fault. But anyway humans talk in any manner when they are mad.So i forgave both of them after i put down the phone.After all i irritated them.And one cant expect everyone to be perfect.

Secondly i surveyed most of my members about cell group relations.Most of them told me they would rather prefer to have another cell member calling them up to just have a genuinely heart to heart chat than to mention church and bible stuff.The bible says let everything have balance.Yes we have the mind of christ but we dont have to force the bible on each other all the time.Unless someone asks for a revelation.If need be,cut ur revelation short.Dont preach a long winded sermon that serves to confuse,and occasionally ,irritate people.Come straight to the main point.Further more a simple encouraging word or phrase is strong enough to build someone up. U cant recite word for word from a 300 page novel,let alone a 50 page nove can you?In a relationship,the most impactable phrase is "i love you".Such a simple phrase causes guys to smile day in day out..girls to be smiling dreamily ..hahah.So its like feeding on a bite sized nuggte that grow in u like a seed being sown.U dont have to sow so many seeds in a person's soul and then have weeds growing all over.Talk about overcrowding conditions.AHhaa science project in primary school.

I dont mean to to offend anyone but please act in love.coming to church and stuff is a willing act,not something that people have to push u or to be monitored.That can make u feel controlled and "cultish",like how cults use militaristic and nasty means to make sure u dont stray away.So please.If a member doesnt come..he or she loses out for that day..but it doesnt mean he or she is straying away!!people want to be treated nicely.pressuring them,even if they are a believer or not..is obviously not acting in love.And most of my fellow members agree to this!!

hey hey a long time of not posting again....well i have been recently feeling rather empty.Yes,i dunno why so i searched deep in myself and found out the reason.Like i told BRo,that i had honest feedbacks from my mom that i have not changed much even after numerous church services.So many sermons but little progress.well i really agree with it.So i talked it out with joannne,and this is what she told me:

"Do u think u have changed first?Is it true that u have not changed?If u have
not changed,u wouldn't be here today in this church.So u just got to belive
that
u are changing for the better.Even Bro or Pastor Kong is
imperfect...they may
still be struggling with certain sins,but not that
much."

From BRO:

"Ok,so u are trying real hard to implement what u learnt,that's good!But its
unrealistic.We cant depend on human efforts,so we need God to change us.But its
not that after every sermon we got to go find someone to practice on what we
have learnt from the day.In such cases,wouldnt it be such a waste?relax,the holy
spirit will bring to remembrance what has been taught to us,so that when
the time comes,we will know what to do. "
I am truly aware that there is this bible reading in a whole year
programme.But Truth to be told,i am not the least bit apologetic about not
following the programme.Cos i dun want to rush through and then neglect
my
spiritual life.I can't implement it strongly.
OK one more thing.I need to be frank.I got attcked by doubts recently and i know this may shock all of u who read this new post.I just cant belive in the existence of God but i dunno why.I tried hard to pray but felt that i am just doing a duty to.And it seems to me that i never act up (like a demonic manifestation) until i got saved.All this never happened before until i belived in God and Demons.Its like if u think u are a worm,than u have succesfully made urself a failure in life.But if i see urself as a victorious person,then in your mind's eye u can be an achiever.I really dont knoe.Can anyone help me?i havent been praying or reading the bible this whole week. Cos i just find it hard i dunno why.Coming to church and cell group now seems so compulsory for me.And its like i am fighting against this feeling .I feel really reluctant now..BUT HEY ITS ALL OVER,AND I AM GOING BACK ON TRACK SLOWLY BUT SURELY.IF ANYONE OF YOU HAVE NOTICED THAT I HAVENT BEEN WILLING TO TALK TO YOU MUCH,PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS.BUT ANYWAY BY FAITH I WILL OVERCOME THIS.

Have not blogged for a long time again.On a heartier and lighter note...i will share with u the human psychology from a book i read,entitled "the mind's eye".
Today,i will share with u how to create the illusion that makes people experience that they have been somewhere or did something before.More commonly,its known as deja vu.(pronounced dee-zsha-vuu)

Firstly,the book tells me that the human mind mostly thinks in words and languages.But if we all could use our imagery abilities,our memory will be better.But we express them in words to be understood.hence the contradiction here:Our eidetic ability (photographic memory )is destroyed by words.

Lets do an experiment.Say for example,u introduced me to two of ur close frens.Say i met up with u one day,and after that u met up with two other frens at two different times.And surprisingly,i may have the same fashion style and hair length as the 1st fren after me.Lets just say u met ur third fren later in the day,and that third fren has seen me and is trying so hard to express the fact that he saw me.But in words its just so hard for u to guess.U will be so confused u just did not know which one he or she is decribing to you about.And the more u ask,the more the description,the more u want to just give up.Have u ever experienced that before?

U have heard the saying:"a picture paints a thousand words" true.If i pased by you again on that day,ur third fren would finally go "there!!that one!!!the one I'm talking about."straightaway,in singaporean context,u go "orh...that one ah!!!aiyah u talk so much so actually its that one lah!!"

the above is just the basic knowledge of creating that illusion.Now for the real thing.First of all,dun try to talk so much.e.g:"Do you know what we did that day?u know what is deja vu?its the familiar feeling that we did something before at someplace or somewhere."

This can definitely put people on high alert,and they may prematurely start to figure out what you are up to.Before long,ur own plot is exposed.

Secondly,dont re-enact the same events at the same place.It will definitely hook up the person's memeory.instead re-enact the same sequence of event,at e different place with say,the particular fast food chain that u and ur fren had eaten at, earlier in another place.

Thirdly,the key events must be there,it doesnt matter if the sequence are a little messed up,so long as they are not so messed up ,its ok.To u urself u will know clearly what are the main events.and one more thing,it helps if u can remember what u wore on that particular day.And wear the same thing.(u r most probably treating ur fren like a victim of coma who just woke up and suffered memory loss!!!)

Lastly,just be natural.When frens go out,sometimes one takes the leadership of having the other one to follow and accompany around,and vice versa.Dont try to force ur frens to go to a certain place when it seems so far away.rememeber the first and second points,as this can help add an air of familiarity yet some tinge of disorientation.They may start to feel that what u are wearing looks quite familiar at a particular time,and are doing the same things,the only thing that they are unaware of is that the place has changed.It can feel really weird.But only u know the answer.TRy it,and tell me the results.Re eanct somehting that happened a year ago,somehting that u can vividly remeber,including what u were wearing.Dont do it one week or one month later,as the event itself is still fresh on the person's mind.Depends on how strong the person's memory is.

Ahhhh...aint that playing on their eidetic ability?*

Hey good day its me here again..have not really blogged for a long time...Well i got some revelations recently and would like to share with anyone who reads this article!

first of all on cell group meetings and the taking in of the word...well i dunno what i should say but i really do love cell group but if i were a leader i wouldn't hold cell meetings on a consistent basis..i mean like once every week..if i were one i would hold a cell meeting fortnightly...well u know why? I am more concerned with growth and not just head knowledge.I discovered that after numerous sermons my life remains as per norm..only to successfully implement a few. Well after knowing so much i still have loads to learn!!!And i have to relearn and relearn.

I really cant help it but i kind of agree with the contents in "purpose driven life" written by rick warren...And i really really agree with what he says..to the extent that i somehow gone out of the mentality of most churchgoers.Which is me against popular church mentality dealing wiht worship and bible studies.Sometimes i do feel irritated to have to worship God in music and guitars alone..and not in other ways.(Cos we are built in different ways,and different interests!!)
I can share with u some of the contents written by rick warren.(actually u can see this particular mentality of mine in the earlier article :"music or worship?" )

#1 bible studies (from purpose driven life) "....actually u can be so busy going to bible studies that u have no time to implement what u learn.the enemy doesnt mind u going to bible studies as long as u did not put into practise what u have learnt."

From here i really do agree with it.I remember having saturdays with like 3 bible studies in a row!!!first of all in cell group,next service,and lastly bible classes after service.To grow strong,we must take things slowly,by putting in our focus in one particular area at any one time.1 weeks time isnt enough for me to implement all i have learnt!by the time i have implemented say 45%..the next week comes up and the same 45% process of implementation recycles.I can never implement succesfully each lesson taught.and that has taken its toll.let m tell u why.

remember my previous articles on how i got depressed when i failed my O levels?that battle in my mind went on for 6 months with demons attacking my though life day and night.I almost wanted to attempt suicide because i thought life was not worth living being a useless teenager.Question: what happened to all the sermons that i learn then?have i forgotten that i need to live by faith not by sight?no.But that's because i did not let that verse grow strong in me.How about taking it as a perspective that its a trial to stregthten me?that too wasnt on my mind.And i didnt even implement.I prayed for comfort but it seems useless.And its all because i did not implement what i learn,meditate on it,and grow strong in the word.

sooner i began to read every verse with smith wigglesworth's popular advice:"only believe!!"
and when i read romans 12:2 " do not be conformed to the standards of this world...renewing of mind."and phillipians 4:8"whatever that is honorable and of good report,think of these things."
i decided to start thinking the good things to boost my morale.But those depressing thoughts showed up there and then..and i almost broke down.But the enemy's strongholds were clearly breaking down..but he was trying to break in even more.That turmoil in me was successfully gone after 2 and a half weeks of intense meditation and confessing the word to myself.In those two weeks i didnt really implement what i learnt from church sermons.I only cared about focusing on winning this battle first.otherwise it can obstruct me in future partaking of spiritual food.Can u take in advice or bible verses during ur most depressing and angry moments?most of us cant,to be frank.We need to calm down first and let the peace of God dwell in us before we can proceed in our walk with him.

music or worship?

Lots of us in the church has a common misconception of many things.
i read in the purpose driven life by rick warren, and this is what he wrote :

"fellowship"-now used to mean going out for a meal,hanging out.People commonly ask :"where do you fellowship?i"

"worship"-a gross misunderstanding.Fast songs means praise and slow songs mean worship.
worship is not being moved by music,but a perpetual attitude.Music isnt mentioned in the garden of eded,as adam and eve were in constant communion with God.Music is mentioned in genesis some chapters after the garden of eden where the frist architects,and musicians were mentioned.THose who are non musical,can they ever worship(if u still think its slow songs during service)??

most terms are now church lingos that mean casual stuff.

true in depth fellowship is when a cell group shares one another's hurts,and comforting and praying for one another.Also it means getting to know one another more.I once played guitar for leisure on my way to church in the mrt.A sister came toward and say :"lets fellowship with Yan chen."She proceeded to take out some worship music scores and lyrics,and wanted me to play while accompanying her singing.Tell me,how can people know me better by the strum of a guitar?if i strummed a C chord,would u immediately know that i like to eat pancakes?Or if i strummed a Bm,would anyone know i am someone who loves to associate with people??NO!!!So know u see the misconception?Most people do tht after church service.To them strumming away and singing songs,eating with one another meant "fellowship".Even going out on outings too!!!think about it!!!

"worship"-many thouht these are slow numbers sung during a church service.NO!!!like rick warren said,worship is a perpetual attitude.Tell me how did adam and eve worship the lord in the garden of eden?at that time no music instruments were yet invented!!!The song "the heart of worship" was written beacause,matt redman,the worship leader,said that his pastor had banned singing in all services for a period of time to show that worship was not a song.Hence the lyrics:"i"ll bring u more than a song,more than a song,for a song is not what u have required.."
Funny,when i sing this song,i feel its an oxymoron act!!! its like ig u mean evrything u sing in that song,why are u still singing it?and the people of matt redman's church had to find other ways to worship God.and to me that can be interesting.because whatevery u do,God is with u,whether u feel his prescence or not!!More to come!!!!

Here i am back after recovering my password.If you were wondring what happen,as in u had never seen my new articles poppin up,its because i simply forgot my password!!!!

Ok enough of that.I would just want to share with u the importance of failing.
#1stly,it aint a curse that u are born mentally deficient of any sort.So stop thinking like that.

#2ndly,i want u all to know that when u fail Big time (as in final year examinations,not class tests).Well one word of advice.RELAX!!

#3rdly why people are scared of failing is because they never thought it will come to them,or ever will.(GET THEE BEHIND,FAILURE!!!)

well whats my main point?I have been talking to people on this subject as i meet up to study with them,or having a conversation with them.Its kinda like a small survey but without ur statistical report.(ok i know i have been at this "facing failure "thing for months...)

first of all i did a phone convo ,asking my fren on her day's paper.she said she may not make it for math.reply? "huh..i dun wanna go for one more year just to retake"

I messaged a close fren on her math paper. She went :"don't talk about it"
the other time i told her that my private school,CHEC, was quite a fun place to be,
and i asked would she want to be there? reply:"CHOY!!(singlish:touch wood.In other words,GET THEE BEHIND,FAR BEHIND,FAILURE!!!)

Got a fren who was the top student to study. he told me his frens all said that he was a hardworking chap.Always scoring good results.he went in his head :"yeah,for what??" he couldnt find a purpose for studying.So he told me.

so much so these are evidences for the fear of failure.After recovering from a six months depression,i adjusted my expectations and start out with the worse in mind.Now my new mentality after days of thought- shaping is :COME,FAILURE!!!COME WHAT MAY!!" seems fearless.(haha)

I am not teaching anyone to be a pessimist,i am just saying u should have the worst expectations so u can know how to adjust ur expectation,and act accordingly to avoid the situation,should it nearly come to pass.yeah so u guys take care.train from failures,and take it as a chance as a failure to develop something others do not have,resilience(passionate determination and calmness when faced with an adversity)!!until next time!!!!

Lets all have an abundance mindset.It is more blessed to give than to receive!
For once and forever we have Jehovah Jireh our provider.My failure in O levels has becoma a gateway of wisdom for me.I realised that i don not have to be typically Singaporean minded.The Bible is full of contrarions who sowed during the most inappropriate and unusual times.Why? because they knoew that with God all things arte possible.And sure what they hoped for,a substance,is definitely gonna happen no matter what.So why worry?cast our burdens up to the Lord!!(psalm55:22)!!

Your most precious posession is ur mind.,If u can come up with ideas and have em' jotted down on a notebook,like John C. maxwell (more info: www.maximumimpact.com ) U'll have plenty of opportunities that u have created.They open up a door for u!!!! Sooner or later u will realise what God has deposited in you,ur talents,abilities,will never stop flowing,even in the midst of trouble!!!! U are the one who utitlises ur opportunities,!! As soon as u have done that,u need not worry.In life everything we do is full of failures.There is a failing factor in everything.So just face failure and move on!!! Keep coming up with solutions and in no time u will be successful!!Of course,boost ur morale beforehand to take on any type of challenge!!!! Go!!!!!

Reach out effectively (revelations)

haha here's another good saturday mornin'....How do we reach out effectively??Lets just assume now that we are not being afraid of reaching out...Lets just turn the table around.
People are having misconceptions about church stuff and they think its weird.Yes?

Ok so now we got to interview them.What do they really think???INterview them and clear misconceptions so they'll be more open.Of course u cant pray for people's heart to be open,that's occultic..the right prayer is "holy spirit speak to their hearts concerning their misconceptions.",not "cause their heart to be so open" that's akin to asking the holy spirit to force people to be open.NAh that aint good.

SO why do we still fear?Nope its just that we dont like the reactions.Nowadays i realise i often go thinking:" what if i get the same reactions again?what if my frens say;"no...well i dun wanna go...um..i aint free etc etc"So no wonder we lost the motivation to call and reach out.Its not that we are fearful as though people will say :"SHUT UP!!!"no no no.So now all of us including me,have a bigger picture???alright rock on man!!!!

Recently i was on the verge of purposelessness.After reading this u may give it a thought.A deep one at that!!!

looks like i thought too much.I really cried over the unfair episode that i though was taking place on me.My friend had passed his exams by means of last minute hard work and dead memorising (along with a complete understanding of Principles of Accounts.).He got into Temasek polytechnic.I got into a private school to re-take my O levels.

Then i wondered way off.There are some people who flunk acdemically,having gone through half of their lives with just a PSLE cert or O level cert,yet by perserverance made it big ans successful in their jobs.There were some i called "hoggers" who having gone through 19 years of education (from kindergatern to university) with smooth passes and promotions,yet after graduation they did jobs concerning their own passions and interests with no relevance with what they have studied.They just seemed to have hogged someone's oppotunity to enter into a poly or university and take the course that he or she wants.So what are they studying for ??U DO WONDER WHAT THEY'RE DOING.apart from getting aditional knowledge,is there anyway that what they have learnt is applicable to everyday issues? I'm a realistic strategist and i would just study something that really is relevant and appropriate to what i want.Not something that i realised i had no interests for and can't seem to find joy and satisfaction in.

The truth is out.Singapore is looking for creativity.If u have what it takes,and learn from relevant sources.U can find a job and excel in doing what u want,big scale or small scale i don't really know.What's most important is to do what u love to do.And excel.

One last thing.Don't ponder too much.It'll hurt u like u know how.Sorrows and depression comes.Solutions?

suicidal tendencies part 2

NOW let us all look things in the eye and think carefully about life and death.The distance between whether dying now or wait till the lord takes u home by his will is your thinking.whether u want to learn now and live through adversity or get stresed and suicidal is all fought in your mind and decided in your mind.You choose.

However,if u feel suicidal,God has given both me and you a beautiful psalm(which i call the book of comfort.)

Notice verse 4 to 6!!! Its calling out to Him and he will respond!!! be blessed!!!!
I have a testimony.One day i was feeling all depressed again.I didnt particularly pray..i just said a short one like "lord could u help me?" and i felt the peace of God that surpasses all understanding!!(phil 4:7). Believe it.

Also one day i went to a close brother's home,and we watched a short segment on Benny hinn's video on faith.I learnt to take things seriously after that.look at the following below:

heb 11: 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of
things not seen. 2For by it the elders obtained a
good testimony.
Substance,like Benny Hinn says,is a knowing.U don't know when or
how your miracle is happening,but u just know it.Its heart faith and
not mentally repeating "i believe,i believe,i believe"faith.
Evidence is the hope and prayer.Its more like actions.U hope for something,u
pray for it.Coupled with faith i gets even better.That's evidence!!!!
Evidence is also = substance + expectation.
By all these,God blesses you,and u will have something to thank him for,a testimony,a good report.Try it!!!!!!

Suicidal tendencies?God intervened!!

Hey man we dun have to feel suicidal or anything.let me tell u my personal story.I give u permission to laugh at this:

IN the year 2004 i was feeling complacent.I didnt much study and took my O's at the end of the year.Feeling a false sense of confidence...i just studied the topics i was strong at and thinking that i could pass and get into polytechnic.I was in a state of illusion and perhaps i really thought that even if i failed i could get in Nanyang academy of Fine arts(NAFA).Once i attended their open house and these student guide took me on a tour and said that some who flunk O levels had no where to go and chose this place.But as long as u have passion for the arts,it doesnt matter,as long as u passed ur english.Simple requirement?yes. so i tot that this would be my ideal plan should i fail!!!

Unexpectedly my hopes were dashed.I got back my results with an L1R4 of 26.U may think i had passed,but i Got E8 for math to be frank.My parents tole me to re-take ( i was reluctant to.). They said that NAFA had expensive school fees and didnt want to spend so much on me there.Well i just had to re take my O's,regardless.

I stepped into City Harvest Education Centre (CHEC) for my course in retaking the paper.As usual my grades and results plunged in class tests. Feeling increasingly despondent,my suicidal tendencies increased until finally one day i cried for like 1 whole hour.Can u imagine that?I had poured everything out to my sister and she was shocked.She commented that:"you've got suicidal tendencies?wah,that's scary, u know!!Dont't u think its scary too??" I thought so.But ever since letting it out into the light, i felt better. It was then God seemed to knock me on the head and say:

"yan chen,why are u so silly?didnt my word said that trials are to test ur faith
so it can come out as pure as gold?And that u will have the grace of my son
Jesus Christ to perfect what is lacking in u??"

Also from the following days reading the word i found out the his ways are higher than my ways,his thoughts higher than mine,and that he can do exceedingly abundantly more than i can ask or think of,according to the power that works in me.

Hilarious days

Throughout my days as a child of God,i came across some funny memories when i was recalling the past about my "early days" on my walk with the father

psalms 143:5 I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works. I think about what you have done.(nlt)

So exactlty i was doing all that,how HE worked through my life and how i responded.the funny part is my new passionate zeal about going all out to preach for him.I remember me telling my cell group leader in an e-mail about pop "idols" and how teenage girls can fall for these guys who hardly knew them...haha legalistic or what???

it is because of this particular verse that says : And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. (WEB) 2 corin 11:14

And to think i had the guts and thick skin to "preach" such crazy and awkard message to my leader!!Laughable.I elaborated that some boybands and solo male singers use their charms to attract a girl fan,then get intimate with her and rape her OR make use of their own good looks to cause millions of love-stricken innocent girsl to go wild and out- of- control !!!!

And that is what i explained the 2 corin 11:14 verse!!!because satan is actually a handsome creation of God,only to become evil looking,as many said,like a serpent or dark lord after he fell.

i title my message "i felt God telling me to preach" and started off in my letter "bro,recently i felt God telling me to preach ..."( elaborated above ).He replied :" what u talking about?that is wrong intepretation.it is alright to have someone to admire,and it is not dangerous,but anyway,good try,but God is certaonly not telling u to preach now!!"(imagine the embarrasment i beared with the following week when i wa going to service!!!hahaha!) but luckily he didnt talk to me about it.Otherwise.....

abandoning secular teachings

Throughout my days in my walk with God i found myself abandoning some "false teachings" i had followed since young.Today i will bring them out to light...so make sure the next time when we have a family...do watch out for these few points.I've been through so much trauma dealing with pride in people and have been living in minor cowardice that God told me to step out in,even if i feared.

#Teaching number:1)Boys don't cry.

I dont mean to discourage anyone from having a "hard male" image and taking a "soft male"image.What i want you guys to know is the very fact that male or female,u are still human and have all rights to ventilate.We've got a crying jeremiah trying to restore his backsliding nation.We've got all sorts of depressed and crying, major and minor prophets who took the message of God to reconcile his fallen people .These prophets broke down in the prescence of God because like Jesus, their soul felt "exceedingly sorrowful,even unto death."They were mocked at,blasphemed of,persecuted,laughed at and felt intense pressure.
My own personal story is that sometimes when my parents are disappointed with me,they say all sorts of hurtful things to me,even though they sometimes say they love me.True love is patient and kind,not boastful or proud!!!

1 corin 13:4) Love is patient and kind. Love knows neither envy nor jealousy. Love is not forward and self-assertive, nor boastful and conceited. (WEY )

Do they really love me?this question often makes me sad...they all are sometimes prideful..but i understand that..and this propels and compels me to love them even more with the capacity of God's love!!!When i feel sad because of what they've done to me (even though i have forgiven them..)it sometimes transforms into negative repercussions that haunts me.When i cry,my dad sees it,he'll want to slap me.To him,crying boys are what he calls "sissy".BUT,IF GUYS DONT CRY AND BE FRANK WITH THEIR DEEPEST HURTS,THEY OFTEN END UP VIOLENT AND BEASTLY.I dont mean that boys must cry all the time.Just be frank,let loose,get a confidante,talk about it,ask for an apology,forgive and the sun will shine on your dark countenance.Amen?? My sister once shut me out and told me i can't change her...after all the good advice i gave...man,that hurts you know!!Now i am afraid of telling about her faults.But if we do not let her know,how can we say we love her?

prov 10:12 Hate is a cause of violent acts, but all errors are covered up by love. (BBE)

Conform yourself to christlikeness.Have the qualities of Christ.Know you're identity in Him.

#teaching no 2)Children have no rights in interfering in adult matters.

We've got traumatised kids who grow up sullen and prejudiced against their parents.They get rebellious over time.Why?beacause their parents had frequent quarrels when they were young...and it can happen twice every week..or on a daily basis..depending on the degree of hatred in both parties.When the child asks pleading "mom and dad,could you stop fighting??"dad responds "NON OF YOUR BUSINESS!!DONT INTERFERE!!!I WISH I HAD NEVER GAVE BIRTH TO A RAG LIKE YOU!!" and all sorts of hurtful words.

prov 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.( KJV)

What can the child do?mull it over in his or her mind time and time again with no real solutions.Spirits come and whisper suicidal words and murderous thoughts.We need healing from trauma today...and we need to act by FAITH and believe God will heal us and give us the power to help others trapped in trauma...i believe this is a continuation,or an article that bridges to my article on God's healing in my previous post called "faith".

Dear friends,this is YOUR chance to partner with somebody who is full of faith,because faith pleases God,and is a transport for God to work in the lives of many...it is just a wonderfull thing.
why do i say so?First of all you got to understand what partnership is all about...

Read the following:(from 1 kings chapter 17)

1 kings 17:

8Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying, 9"Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you." 10So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, "Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink." 11And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, "Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand."

12So she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die."

Elijah Revives the Widow's Son

And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him. 18So she said to Elijah, "What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?"

19And he said to her, "Give me your son." Do you see the pattern here?A widow who had no faith initially learnt how to trust Elijah,a man full of faith and expectancy of the Lord's promises !!U see a partnership with God's friend always produces change and abundance in your life!!!Just like the widow who had a supernatiral increase in her food supply...even her trust in Elijah led to her son's resurrection!!!!How much greater can partnership with God be?its over flowing,abundant,produces miracles,and exceeding...and beyond words!!!Why??

reasons:

1)isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.( KJV)

2)ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (WEB)

3) mark 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible." (NKJ)

4)matthew17:20 "You didn't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I assure you, even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed you could say to this mountain, `Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."[c](nlt)

notice the words i put in italics....The last one being a figure of speech..if u have faith as small as a mustard seed ..you can move the mountains (of your fears and diseases!!) Nothing is impossible when you believe in what Christ Jesus can do!!!!

If you are an unbeliver and have recieved faith from this illustration i put here,you can try God in this area...as an unbeliver myself..i didnt believed in anything..but how do you know God exists if u didnt let God work through you in your most helpless and hopeless situation?God is attracted to the helpless and Hopeless!!!

What is wisdom?not only did the lord create things that are pleasurable for viewing,but also for learning!!!!in fact,the best proverbs come from observing nature!!!let me give u a few examples..

1)man invented aeroplanes by observing aviatory animals (birds) 2)Man understands that life is like the waves of the sea...full of ups and downs(i heard that in a hokkien song!!)

When we feel happy..we connect with the sunshine...when we are down..we temd to think of dark clouds and rainy days...or even a dark cave!!

That is what it means when God is always there for us in everything we do..all these serve as reminders of his wisdom!!!The bible also uses nature as an example for our lives!!

1) acts26:18to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God.(nlt)

2) prov1714Beginning a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.(nlt)

3)james1:6But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

these are but a few of the examples....and also "dont count your eggs before they hatch"(referring to how unpredictable events are) and "to kill two birds with one shot "(referring to unexpected gains).

"K" factor in our lives

Many of us take maths i believe..in the inverse proportionate topic,there is this constant,called the "k" factor...(this article has nothing to do with maths,ok???).Let me ask u a question:"what is the "k" factor in your life?? Do u keep up with good habits and relational skills'
daily???or do u do it once and then forget it the nect day,reverting back to your old ways??

Ahh......The "k"factor in everybody's life is the way you think...and also the holy spirit..that guides us!!!

john 14: 15"If you love me, obey my commandments. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor,[b] who will never leave you. 17He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. (nlt)

Yes!!it is the holy spirit!!!Our dear counselor and comfort....also jesus is known as the prince of peace!!!

pray for peace to be CONSTANTLY in your heart...so that u will experience the peace that cannot be understood..no,really...IT CANNOT BE UNDERSTOOD!!ITS INEXPRESSIBLE IN WORDS!!!! its like drinking water when u feel horribly thirsty..like.....you can drink 1.5 litres of water at a go..its also like ur birthday celebration when someone presents u a surprise party and a gift that u cant express ur joy properly.....u dance ,u rave,u scream....!!!!

Yes!!!that's all!!! the "k" factor..peace!!!!!

Courage

What is surrender?many of us may assocoiate this with negative images,like weaklings,
who give up easily..but when we have a God who backs us up...let me tell u this...HE GIVES VICTORY!!!!

*surrender is giving all ur worries and troubles to the lord!!and he will take care of it!!!He loves u and promises to help u!!!

psalms55:22Cast your burden on the LORD,And He shall sustain you;He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

A miraculous encounter hit me that gave me great encouragement....one day as i was thinking that I'm gonna fail my O' levels again (i'm retaking) ..i talked to a teacher who was also in the lord and she "diagnosed" me and said that i have a fear of failing...well..who wants to fail O' levels again??

God gave me a word in an encouraging yet creative manner.

God told me to replace the words "sin" and "kindness" with fear and courage.
paraphrased,this is what u'll get.

I strongly encourage u guys to meditate on the word..not as in repeating and chanting bible verses but to think about what u read and what it means in ur mind,silently...one day when u fall into certain circumstances,then one of the verses u memorised will jump alive!!!!

Many people's lives are driven by untold levels of resentment,fear and sadness.they make wishing statements like :"if life had no troubles..then what a heaven will it be","i wish i would die" and all sorts of self induced hypnotic freedom statements..DONT BE NEGATIVE!! be of good cheer!!!FEAR NOT!!!!

the chinese way of saying "utopia" is "u tuo bang" it literally means "the clan of dragging darkness". People deceive themselves and dont want to face reality..they find comfort in new age stuff..that promises that man can become god and rule over the people they fear and hate..also they find acceptance in secret societies..only to wake up to remorse and further emptiness...some turn to drugs for comfort...and also to wake up one day to the fact that their bodies are soon to be wrecked by carcinogenic particles ready to destroy your flesh after decades of hibernation by meiosis (cell splitting and multiplication) .

Tell u something..dont be offended.give this a good thought:"drug companies are making use of human weakness to boost their profits and heighten sales."(when hardcore supporters still pay for their drugs even though government increased the price to deter people from buying it) .Get this:when u are committing a slow but unknowing suicide,more and more carcinogens (cancer causing substances e.g narcotine,irritants,cocaine ,tar etc) are residing in ur body.The more u die slowly everyday by consuming ur drug,the more drug companies are laughing "HA HA HA" at their sale increase!!!!!

BUT,u are human...we are all humans...that gives us a privilege,that as long as we are humans,regardless of race or culture and religion,we have been given a privilege to be God's friend.here are 8 fabulous reasons from the bible,which i specially prepared for you!!!

TRuth to be told...

I was a demi-satanist in sec1 to 3...a candid moment of "poser" phase in my adolescent years.Teens are really impressionable...

i was a curious little youngster who wanted to know the truth behind the physical world..what drives hate and fear in the lives of many..of course,having been invited to numerous
christian services...i find it irate and passe when people just press you on to know christ...so i was fed up and entered the realm of the extreme opposite..god's enemy..SATAN!!!

Interestingly enough i began to wonder and delve deeper and deeper into the realm of darkness..i was seeking for a religion or life philosophy that doesnt put restrictions on what u want to do...so satanism is all about pride,sex and rebellion...frankly,i was a sadist,due to the fact that i loved seeing those who reprimanded me cry(and i didnt even appreciate their love!!!),also i drew strength,great strength from hearing crying babies,infants and most of all...kids up to 6 years of age ....these to me is like the satanic book of psalms in my heart....

the contradiction starts here....i am an atheist but believing in the devil...and attending christians services and trying to twist scriptures to bring forth satanic revival!!!!woah..EEEEEVVViiiilll!!!!!

YET,God touches even the worst of sinners
( gal1:13,15You know what I was like when I followed the Jewish religion--how I violently persecuted the Christians.[b] I did my best to get rid of them. 15But then something happened! For it pleased God in his kindness to choose me and call me, even before I was born! What undeserved mercy! )(nlt)

yep so he touched me during services,when i was a unbeliver and an anti christ..i felt like crying for no particular reason..that is the touch of GOD!!!!

and it pains me to have remembered that i hurted my mother and family due to my pride and egoism..that i would refuse to listen to "human NOISE" and preachy human wisdom...i shifted all my faults to my mom and she sometimes cried in secret..which i dont know..my dad slapped me for arguing with him!!!my sister gave the final wake up reprimanding i so richly deserve.PRAISE GOD for using my family members to stir me up!!!

Mind you..i am not the sort who just went to church and what u call "be cheated and just believe in something u didnt see with ur own eyes" type of person...it took me one whole year of scientific thinking and formulae for all sorts of evil on this earth...why humans can think evil...bear grudges and ultimately dominate people by being driven by their innermost fears,negative memories and hurts....i remember reading in a christian booklet entitled "whats the point?" a friend gave me saying that if we did not have emotions..we would be creatures unable to love ,like robots living on this earth...waiting for the day we die..accomplishing nothing.

ecclesiastes 2:24"So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that this pleasure is from the hand of God. "(nlt)

seriously speaking we just need to be happy all the days of our lives..youths,please do not hurt ur bodies by smoking and drinking...u are young and can do great exploits!!!

ecclesiastes 11:9"Young man, it's wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. 10So banish grief and pain, but remember that youth, with a whole life before it, still faces the threat of meaninglessness." we still need to give account..our bodies are the temple of the holy spirit,honor him with our bodies!!!(1 corinthians 3:16,6:20)

i am not being overtly preachy here...it is simple to be wise..and knowing ur purpose definitely gives u less stress ....and u live for his glory!!!(romans 11:36)!!!!

when God touched me...i cried tears of joy.....and knowing that he has forgiven me of all my past transgressions agaisnt my family members by sending his son to die an underserving death on the cross for me, and the whole of mankind,a lonely,painful and bloody death...now all my past wrongdoings is insignificant ..he still is patient with me...and his love really touched me deep down.this is my sincere message to all!!!

2peter3:9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,[b] not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

john 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
